She currently serves as Local Government Affairs Manager for the Port of Tacoma, where she advances public policies that support the region’s maritime industry, which sustains more than 41,000 jobs and generates nearly $10.8 billion in economic activity annually. Before joining the Port of Tacoma, Alice dedicated 13 years to Pierce County government, serving in a series of progressively responsible leadership roles. Most recently, she served as Deputy Assessor-Treasurer, overseeing a team of 78 employees and a $31 million biennial budget while supporting operations across property assessment, taxation, customer service, and compliance functions. Prior to that, as Legislative Affairs & Strategic Advisor to the Pierce County Executive, she directed state and federal advocacy efforts, shaped legislative and intergovernmental strategy, and advised on some of the region's most complex policy and operational challenges in partnership with the 23 cities and towns that make up Pierce County. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she played a key role in coordinating policy development, stakeholder engagement, and program implementation in Washington's second-largest county. Her public service career also includes leadership roles with the Pierce County Council, where she contributed to policy development, communications, emergency preparedness, economic development, public safety, transportation, and regional collaboration initiatives. Throughout her career, Alice has earned a reputation as a trusted advisor, skilled coalition builder, and effective public servant. She has contributed to major regional efforts and known for her strategic thinking, collaborative leadership, and ability to navigate complex issues. Alice brings clarity, integrity, and momentum to challenging initiatives while fostering meaningful relationships across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. In addition to her public service career, Alice is a small business co-owner with more than 20 years of experience in photography, videography, marketing, and creative services. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in History, with minors in Political Science and Philosophy, from Franciscan University of Steubenville and has completed emergency management training through the FEMA Emergency Management Institute. Alice is passionate about strengthening communities, expanding economic opportunity, and advancing collaborative solutions that benefit residents, businesses, and future generations throughout the South Sound. She has volunteered with the Mary Bridge Children's Festival of Trees since 2010 and serves on the advisory team for the Good Neighbor Village.
